Although I'm not into mecha typed animes I really enjoyed Blassreiter! Fights were not that great to me, but the development of plot and action was just fantastic. Deep and original characters made this show interesting to watch, especially Joseph - an living example of self-sacrifice, somewhat irritating but with meaningful reasoning. Friendship, betrayal, appreciation of life, death, pride, atonement and hope are mixed together and that was so interesting! It didn't take much time to watch all eps :)

I didn't like the religious part, it was too confusing, with all fights, killing etc. The same with music, nothing amazing, but animation is really good, realistic.

But, of course, good series never end the way you'd like them to... (show less)

The very first episode had me hooked with the blend of cell-shading and conventional anime style graphics, which were used extensively during fight scenes and other dramatic moments. It's been a while since I had seen this series, so I cannot say much for the story line other than it didn't suck nor was it award winning. The main characters are lovable, whether they are doing good or bad - so perhaps the narrative was well played.

If you're into sci-fi anime with a blend of the demonic and twisted, then this worth the look into. If you want a typical anime which features big boobs, teenagers, Edo era and/or school girls.. then this isn't for you. (show less)

Not that i'm bluffing but you could have miss out a gem for not knowing this anime. Story is made by i dunno who the heck he is but he was the one who made the storyline for Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Oh, his name is Urobochi Gen if not mistaken.

Story is indeed very heavy yet it could have been an entertainment to the MAX for those who love brutal story, desperate fighting and action, awesome babes and characters.

And about the characters, Joesph is NO WHERE NEAR so called Kira Yamato cause Joesph is more awesome than that overrated guy.

Don't try to compare this anime with those popular ones because this anime is TOTALLY out of the box. It's not just your decent anime, it's an anime with maximum entertainment and storyline. Even shounen fans might not like it but for those who truly seek PURE entertainment rather than fanservice, this is your WISE choice.

PS: The first 7 episode is indeed kinda boring and confusing, bear with it and you'll taste the delight onwards. (show less)

If you don't watch anything else anime related make sure you watch this first. The story is really good and addicting, but also sad at the same time. You will care about the characters and what happens to them, and the music is really good too.

At first I didn't want to see this because it was half anime and half 3D, but the 3D ain't bad because the fight scenes are flawess and fast-paced they did a really good job. Its wayyy better than how marvel did Ironman imo. The regular animation is top notch too.

If you want to be glued to your seat for and emotion, fast-pace, action pack rollercoaster ride than watch Blassreiter. I promise you will not regret it or feel like you wasted your time.

This is one hell of an anime that will grab you by the second you see the action it has to offer. I was blown away and or more like glue to my seat the whole time I kept watching the next episode to figure out what was coming next. It’s a dark, mysterious anime where people change into what I would call something like cyber – monster like. Our hero goes out to assassinate anyone of those human who’s become in close contact with the cyber like monster through the transfer of demonic blood. He struggles to set things right and tries hard to surpass his creator but at the same time is wanted by an organization. Everyone episode is just amazing and the fighting is just kick ass. I was disappointed by the design, because the characters all look short and massive from behind, though their front and profile are good. But the story is brilliant, captivating, and the fight scenes are very well made. The characters are great too, Gerd, for example, or Malek, and of course, Joseph, hero of the year^^!
I'm currently watching episode nine, and really, this anime is one of the best I've seen so far. Action, suspense, mystery, fights, and emotion, there's everything in here, except romance.
Really, watch this, it's worth your time!! (show less)
