I watched this right after seeing Another (a great series for fans of this genre). Although it was rather slow(I really got into the series I think after the last few arcs) it was worth it in a sense, you'll get that how-the-hell-did-that-happen feeling on some of the first few episodes and get the oh-shit-so-that's-what-happened feeling on the last few.

If you have too much time on your hands you should try this.

P.S. the animation and the art gets better on the second season(and of course the CONCLUSIONS!), that's something to look forward to, right? (show less)

Why this anime is so liked i will never understand. The storyline keeps repeating itself all the time and it gets boring after the 4th episode,bad animation,annoying characters and it fails so hard at being scary. I did watch the whole first season of it but only because i really loved Keiichi i think he's an amazing character and is the only character i like in this anime but even so while watching i was hoping it would evantually turn better but no it just got worse and worse... I think Keiichi should get his own spin off show since he's just that awesome! But down to the review... dont watch this you will regret it it's 100% a waste of time you could spend watching way better anime and if you want blood just watch Gantz or Shiki now there's 2 GOOD horror anime's not this crap. Mirai Nikki is really good, but it wasn't even that scary. Higurashi is a lot more scarier and mindfudging. To me Higurashi is the best horror anime I've seen even if it does mindfudge you. I mean little girls going psycho and killing other people? Disappearance of people and no one knows what's happening.

The animation is a little dodgy...I didn't like it at first, but you get use to it.
Entertainment is really enjoyable, you'll want more on every episode, wondering what is going on

All-in-all, this was a really good series. It kept me on my toes all the time, making me feel like I have to watch the next episode right away. That suspenseful feeling is really thrilling. It did become slightly confusing because you skip around plots and time frames a lot, but it's really worth. Still, I'm never watching it again. It was so creepy, and I watched it alone... It made me jumpy for weeks. I couldn't stop watching it and its sequels, though, but like I said, I don't think I could watch it again, especially alone. If you have a comforting friend watching it with you or don't mind being freaked out or don't really get freaked out, then definitely watch it. My heart beats so fast just recalling it, but it definitely was a thrilling week (yes, I watched all the episodes including the sequels in just one week... that probably didn't help the creepiness because it was one after another...)
