Marvel never disapoints and i love the fact that Marvel let japanese anime artists take over the production, combining awesome and awesome is raerly seen.

So far Iron Man and Wolverine has been a disappointment for me and i was relief that at least X-Men showed some promise though it is far from perfect! What strike me the most is the detailed animation which really showed the X-Men in their finest form. Turning the U-Men from plain mutant scavengers to high-tech cyborgs using mutant genes to further enhance their abilities is nice touch. I also like the fact the they boost Mastermind from a second rate illusionist to top notch villain though he is not Sebastian Shaw he has some qualities that made ( read more)

What strike me the most is the detailed animation which really showed the X-Men in their finest form. Turning the U-Men from plain mutant scavengers to high-tech cyborgs using mutant genes to further enhance their abilities is nice touch. I also like the fact the they boost Mastermind from a second rate illusionist to top notch villain though he is not Sebastian Shaw he has some qualities that made him a suitable leader of the Hellfire Club. Ironically, the X-Men seems to have been given a downgrade, most specially the female leads Storm and Emma. Storm is supposed to be one strongest member of the team both in power and character, she even challenge Cyclops for leadership and often times questioned his decisions. Here is shown to be one of the weakest members easily incapacitated and tired easily just by casting lighting. When the Blackbird was attacked from the air she was the logical choice of fighting it since she could fly instead it was Wolverine fought it which really doesn't make sense. Another character that was downgraded was Emma a.k.a White Queen, who as a former member of the Inner Circle is cunning, outspoken and ruthless adversary who is not afraid to use her telepathic powers to get what she wants and unlike Jean Grey or Professor X she didn't lose much of her attitude when she became an X-Men which makes her a great anti-hero character. Unfortunately, the Emma in this series scarcely used her talents and could even stand against Mastermind even in her diamond form. Hisako was quite a surprise her and i like the way the series made her more mature and worthy to be part of the X-Men. The rest of the team was done quite nicely as well Beast being intellectual genius that he is, Cyclops trouble by his leadership skills due to the death of Jean Grey which is played quite well and we even get to see Wolverine go on berserker moder while putting some awful jokes! What impress me the most is the ending where you get to see some familar Marvel characters as well as some surprises as the end of the credit that hints of a possible sequel which i really hope so because so far this is the only marvel anime adaptation that is worth taking a chance! I've always been a fan of the x-men every since I can remember. The 90's cartoon was great and then x-men evolution happened which was lamesauce!...but then japan grabbed my childhood and expanded it into this great series before me.It's cool to see japans take on our american mutant heroes..they keep the characters moods and mannerisms the same as the american counterparts, the storyliine is great with sub-plots that keep u entertained. The animation and battles are top notch which is whats to be expected from madhouse they always do a great job.If ( read more)

Excellent animation and story line so far even though the Syndrome sounds a bit skeptical for me
What else can make it more awesome? Bleach universe is going to join in too as the mouth-like gate is opened in mid air and capture Professor X
Next episode preview: X-men go Bankai

Honestly this is a a mixed blessing Anime.....
This Anime took a good amount of time to deliver the true justice to the characters in a format that is still Anime however it still isnt what many would expect...
The story is dramatic brining in high thrilling action and pushing the X-men abilities to show the shear graphical prowess of the Art team of this Anime....
The voices are done well with a lot of emotion in each line... but I felt that several of the voices where a little odd.. Woulverine for example is done well but does not feel ( read more)

The voices are done well with a lot of emotion in each line... but I felt that several of the voices where a little odd.. Woulverine for example is done well but does not feel like the verile strong voice the original Cartoon series put into it. A good actor but it doesnt feel like the character it should be...
Like almost all Anime it tries to deveolpe the characters by pushing a long and strong continual story line.... although this is a fresh direction from the original Series.... the first few episodes are long and annoyingly unsatisfing to the curosity of what the heck is going on...
The story in short is new and fresh but deals with directly getting rid of some characters while bluntly showing some abundant weaknesses to many of the characters and while intertaining and humanising it also lacks the sufficant introduction that was necessary to the original Cartoon series...
In summry:
If you watch the originals I would caution you to not judge this series so quickly. It is a good Anime however its a new direction rather than a challenge to the original.. I like to view it as one would view Batman Beyond to the original Batman series... -which is an adept example......I however am still interested in where the story is heading.... ( show less)

I felt nervous about watching, yet again, another X-Men "reboot/spinoff". Having the original 1993 X-Men cartoon be a major part of my childhood, being the core of my nervousness. I can say that after only watching the first episode for about two and a half minutes, my nervousness completely subsided.
What a great show, this is! This is an X-Men fan service for anime fans! It has everything. Original X-Men(Cyclops, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Beast, and Storm), very stylish and very fluid artwork/animation, incredible voice work(pretty sure Wolverine ( read more)

Original X-Men(Cyclops, Jean Grey, Wolverine, Beast, and Storm), very stylish and very fluid artwork/animation, incredible voice work(pretty sure Wolverine is voiced by Takamura from Hajime no Ippo), and a great story. They even use the same "lingo" that the characters use in the old show/comics!
Overall, I am very pleased with this. I guarantee that if you're an X-Men fan, you will thoroughly enjoy this. ( show less)
